This is the Schneider-Farris Family's Blog. Keep up with what we are doing by logging into this site regularly! (The reason this site is called "Tragedy and Triumph" is that when I first founded this site, my husband, Dan, had been in a horrible accident, and he recovered. His recovery was a miracle! Go back to the 2005 archives to read our story.)

Rebekah and Annabelle's First Piano Recital
Today Rebekah and Annabelle participated in their first piano recital. They were more nervous than they are when they perform on the ice!
We bought new dresses especially for the event. Here are some photos with their teacher, Susie Essing, a homeschool mom who knows our "style."
One of the things we stopped doing was playing piano after Dan got hurt. We are so glad music is back in our lives again! Hopefully, Joel will participate at a future recital.
Below is are some videos from the recital.

Rebekah Hikes With the Junior Girl Scouts
Rebekah went on a beautiful hike to Queens Canyon with her Junior Girl Scout troop on 4-29-08. Here are some photos from her great experience. Over two and a half years ago, the Tuesday after Dan was hurt, I was determined to get Rebekah to Junior Girl Scouts. She has just bought the uniform and I didn't want Dan's accident to stop her from having fun. I'm so glad she is still doing it. Next year, she goes up to Cadettes!

Two and a half years ago....
Two and a half years ago, the world seemed to end for our family....
Two and a half years ago, people came forward from all kinds of backgrounds to help my family in any way they could.
Two and a half years ago, extended family traveled to Colorado to help us in our time of great need.
Two and a half years ago I held my children in my arms and cried.
Two and a half years ago people from all over the world prayed for a miracle and Dan lived.....
Two and a half years ago.....WOW!
