Call The Midwife Season 13 Episode 3 Brought Back My Own Personal Memories-Trauma

This is my husband Dan after his accident on September 16, 2005

I wrote this post on Facebook on Sunday, September 29, 2024 after watching Call The Midwife Season 13 Episode 3:

————————

Spoiler Alert!  Don’t read my post below if you are a Call The Midwife fan who hasn’t yet watched Season 13 Episode 3!

————————

I just had a “post traumatic stress” experience.  I could not stop crying.  I guess one of the most surreal times of my life is still inside my being and can never be forgotten.

Read below:

I watched Call The Midwife Season Three Episode 3 this afternoon and saw one of the main characters, Fred Buckle, near death.

It was like I was living through the experience of 19 years ago when my husband Dan was near death at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.  When Fred’s wife talks to Fred while he was in a coma and holds his hand, I remembered when I did the same thing with my husband Dan.  When Fred wakes up from the coma and opened up his eyes, the same thing happened for me.  My little daughter Annabelle, who had just turned six, was with me when Dan woke up from the coma.  Fred’s son and wife were by his bed when he all of a sudden recovered.  We witnessed a miracle then and the TV episode showed the same thing happen.

I had people of every religion praying for Dan and the same thing happened in this Call The Midwife episode.

Now I wonder how many people who saw this episode see some of their own experiences or memories when they watch the best PBS series that has ever been made.
