Dan wanted to get married right away. He rushed me into setting a wedding date for February, but when my brother Billy told me he wouldn't come since it conflicted with him going to the US National Figure Skating Championships (he went every year to see his friends, etc.), we changed the wedding date to April 7, 1979.
I worked at a private school and that was the Saturday right before Spring Break.
As I look back now, wow, did we move fast!
