This is the Schneider-Farris Family's Blog. Keep up with what we are doing by logging into this site regularly! (The reason this site is called "Tragedy and Triumph" is that when I first founded this site, my husband, Dan, had been in a horrible accident, and he recovered. His recovery was a miracle! Rosh Hashanah in the Mountains 9-9-10

Once again, we had a wonderful Rosh Hashanah in the mountains. We've gone to this service whenever we can since about 1996 or so....it was originally one of the many of the events held by Rocky Mountain Chavorot, but now it is the only thing left from that group. It was so nice to reconnect with so many of the Jewish families we've met during our years in Colorado!

After the service, we got together with our dear friends Sam and Hellene Anderson for a Tashlich ceremony. We have been through "so much" with the Anderson family. It is very special to get together with them at this time of year and see the children grow up together.

This past year was difficult for both of our families. Hellene's mother passed away and so did Dan's father. Our dear friend, 14 year old Haley Gans, also died tragically in a skiing accident.

Although there has been some sadness, we are blessed with families that love us and friends like Hellene and Sam.

L'Shana Tova! Happy New Year! Happy 5771!
