Yesterday we said good-bye to the first microwave Dan and I bought in 1981. It stopped working yesterday...it was one of those cool "Minute-Master - Meal in One" Litton Microwaves. It was huge and operated with a manual push button that you turned to set the cooking time. The button stopped turning about 15 years ago, so we had to watch the food we put inside to make sure we didn't burn it up....and it even had a shelf in it so you could cook a lot of food at once....good bye microwave....we should have named you like we named our refrigerators which were named Bill, Bob, and Gary...

Yes it is very sad, purchased the same one 8/81 and it just died today. What a strange feeling to have over a microwave but felt like one of the family for the past 40 years!
