This is the Schneider-Farris Family's Blog. Keep up with what we are doing by logging into this site regularly! (The reason this site is called "Tragedy and Triumph" is that when I first founded this site, my husband, Dan, had been in a horrible accident, and he recovered. His recovery was a miracle! Rebekah and Joel Are in Lake Placid Without Mom and Dad!

Rebekah and Joel have gone on a three week adventure. They've gone off to Lake Placid, New York, for three weeks. They went with their ice dance coach, Tiffany Hyden-Dombeck. Tiffany has rented a house, and four of her ice dance teams (including Rebekah and Joel) will be training in Lake Placid until August 15.

All the skaters will be competing in the Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships next week.

Yesterday, our family woke up at 2:00 AM to get Rebekah and Joel to the Denver Airport to catch a 6:30 AM flight. I spent the rest of the day recovering!

The kids have sent me text messages and text message photos to keep in touch. Joel may try a new food (his list of food he likes is very small). I heard from Rebekah that he tried a hamburger yesterday....

The photos below are two photos Joel and Rebekah sent us from their phones during their travels and the others ones are when we said good-bye at the airport.

I miss them, but texting makes keeping in touch more fun!
