This is the Schneider-Farris Family's Blog. Keep up with what we are doing by logging into this site regularly! (The reason this site is called "Tragedy and Triumph" is that when I first founded this site, my husband, Dan, had been in a horrible accident, and he recovered. His recovery was a miracle! Joel, Rebekah, and Annabelle's Artwork Is on Display at the Colorado Springs School!

In September and October 2009, the Colorado Springs School took part in a collaborative artistic series called Dance on Paper. The program combined the talents of Colorado Springs artists, Ormao dancers, art teachers, and students of all ages from The Colorado Springs School, The Vanguard School, and Mountain Vista Homeschool Academy.

Since Joel, Rebekah, and Annabelle are part of Mountain Vista Homeschool Academy, all three children got to take part in this wonderful program. On October 13, 2009 an art show of all the works done in the program were put on display at the Colorado Springs School, and Rebekah, Joel, and Annabelle's artwork was included. Their was a special opening program on that day. Their drawings, and the drawings of the other participants will be shown at the Colorado Springs School for about a month!

This was so an honor and a great opportunity for the kids!

Rebekah says:
"It was such a relaxing experience. The stage was so quiet and peaceful. I could have kept drawing for hours and hours."

Joel says:
"I found it hard to draw people, so I decided to draw the boxes the people were sitting on. That was great. It is really fun to draw boxes and I learned a lot."

Annabelle says:
"I was thrilled to be invited to the figure drawing! You see, I'm only ten years old, but since I'm homeschooled and part of Mountain Vista Homeschool Academy, I got to join my older brother and sister at the Colorado Springs School's special program. It was fun to go up on the stage and draw dancers since I love to dance. Everyone was so nice!"
