When Joel was about 6 years old, he became a cub scout. When we began homeschooling, Joel joined a homeschool cub scout pack. The boys in his den were little guys then. They've been together for many years now. Today, one of Joel's friends, Peter Simon, became an Eagle Scout. We were there to see Peter's Court of Honor. Of course, I cried. Wow, it really is something to see little boys turn into young men!
(I couldn't find any photos of Peter when he was little, but I did find one of Joel when he was a Wolf cub scout. Also, the one of us as a family was taken in early 2006 when Joel became a Webolo I think. Notice that Dan is holding onto a walker in that photo. It was a miracle that Dan was able to attend that ceremony.)
