This is the Schneider-Farris Family's Blog. Keep up with what we are doing by logging into this site regularly! (The reason this site is called "Tragedy and Triumph" is that when I first founded this site, my husband, Dan, had been in a horrible accident, and he recovered. His recovery was a miracle! An Article I Wrote About Haley Gans Is On U.S. Figure Skating's Website

A few months ago, U.S. Figure Skating asked me to write articles about U.S. Figure Skating members (and clubs) who had done extraordinary or special things in figure skating.

I immediately approached Pat and Haley Gans, and asked if I could write about Haley. Plans were made for me to eventually write about Haley. At the time, I wasn't sure what I wanted to include or what Haley wanted me to share.

When Haley died, just a little over three weeks ago, I asked her mother, Pat, if she'd still like me to write about Haley on U.S. Figure Skating's site. Pat did want me to put something together.

A week after Haley's funeral, I went to the Gans home and spent a few hours with Pat talking about Haley.

This article came shortly after that.

Enjoy! Hugs to everyone who knew Haley and hugs to the Gans family.
