This is the Schneider-Farris Family's Blog. Keep up with what we are doing by logging into this site regularly! (The reason this site is called "Tragedy and Triumph" is that when I first founded this site, my husband, Dan, had been in a horrible accident, and he recovered. His recovery was a miracle! Joel and Rebekah Skated Great at Junior Nationals 2010!

We are so proud of Joel and Rebekah! They PULLED UP 4 places after they did their free dance at the 2010 US Junior National Figure Skating Championships! Very rarely do ice dancers pull up that far. (Well, at least in "Jo Ann's days of ice dancing, that was the case.)

The kids finished 8th overall (16 teams total were in the event). They moved up from 12th place into 8th! How cool is that?

It's been a hard year with Rebekah breaking her foot during the summer. The kids missed out on close to three months of training. We are so very grateful that they were able to compete at all during this competition season!

Now it is time to enjoy the holiday break. The kids plan to take two weeks off and enjoy some much needed vacation. I hope we can enjoy the snow and also enjoy being together as a family.

I am also so grateful that my parents were able to come see Joel and Rebekah compete in Midwesterns and also Junior Nationals! It was extra special since my brother Billy's son, Charlie competed at Junior Nationals too! Billy's wife Amy was with us when Rebekah and Joel skated!

Go Rebekah and Joel!
