Colorado Springs figure skaters Rebekah Schneider Farris, and her brother and partner Joel Schneider Farris, of the Broadmoor Skating Club, placed eighth in the nation at the U.S. Figure Skating Junior Championships in Strongsville, Ohio.

The sister-brother team posted their highest score in the free dance portion of the intermediate dance event, improving their final score by four places. They qualified for the event by their fourth place finish at the Midwestern Sectionals in November.

The team competed last year at the Juvenile level, placing second at that event.
